Worden has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. Nothing you do in the game is sent anywhere by us. The one thing that does collect data is the advertising, which is served by Google AdMob and described below.
Worden keeps its saved state on your device and nowhere else. That is the levels you have finished, the words found on a level still in play, your coins, your daily streak, your chosen language, whether sound and music are on, and counters that pace how often an advert may be shown.
None of it identifies you, none of it is transmitted, and all of it goes when you delete the app. You can also clear it from inside the game, through Settings → Reset progress.
Worden shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob: a banner below the board, a full-screen advert between levels, and rewarded videos you choose to watch in exchange for coins. Serving these means Google receives data from your device, which typically includes:
Google uses this to select adverts, to measure them, and to detect fraud. We do not receive any of it, and we cannot see who you are: what reaches us is a count of impressions and what they earned. How Google handles it is set out in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
On iPhone and iPad, Worden asks once whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. This is Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and your answer decides whether Google may use your advertising identifier to personalise adverts.
Saying no costs you nothing. You still see adverts, they are simply less targeted, and the game plays exactly the same either way. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android the equivalent control is Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or opt out of the advertising ID.
Worden is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. The adverts it shows are served under Google's ordinary policies rather than its child-directed treatment.
If the game starts doing something this page does not describe — an analytics tool, a purchase, anything at all — this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
